TPS- Temporary Protected status is temporary immigration status granted to eligible designated countries.

Citizenship-The state of being vested with the rights, privileges, and duties of a citizen.
Freedom-The state of being free or at liberty rather then in confinement or under restraint.
Civil Rights-The rights of belonging to an individual by virtue of citizenship.
Privileges-The principle of granting and maintaining a special right or immunity.
Independence-Political or National Independence(Freedom from control).
Liberty-Freedom fro arbitrary or despotic government or control.
Immigrant-A person who leaves one country to settle permanently in another.
Immigration-Refers to the movement of people between one country and another.

  • Over 25,000 immigrated there between 1990 and 1998
  • Biggest reason for leaving is to support there family, in one year they sent $1.6 billion dollars back.
